Ngahinepouri Hall
The Ngahinepouri Hall is run by an Incorporated Society. Membership of the Society is confined to people residing within a radius of 8 kilometres of the hall.
The Hall has a capacity of 250 and is for the benefit of the entire community. Due to its close proximity to the school, the Ministry of Education leases the whole building during school hours. An after-school care programme runs out of the Hall kitchen and supper room between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Ngahinapouri Dance School leases the main hall three evenings per week.
The Hall is available for hire and is host to a monthly Dance Club.
The Ngahinapouri Community Newsletter is coordinated by the hall committee through Susan Bollen (local resident).
Over the past century the Hall has more than doubled in size with recent refurbishments to the kitchen and toilets. An external upgrade was completed in time for last years’ centenary celebrations. This was all achieved through local fundraising, labour and equipment.
